While it starts at Rs.50,000, configuration packs a speedy 256GB SSD, 8GB DDR4 RAM and a beautiful full-HD touch screen in a design that’s built tough but is also comfortable. Other business ultraportables may be lighter, but the E7270 offers the performance and speed you’ll need to get the job done.

Keyboard and Touchpad: The E7270’s backlit keyboard has 1.6 mm of key travel, and feels nice and clicky, despite requiring only 55 grams of force to press. The 3.9 x 2-inch touchpad can feel a little cramped at times, but it’s enough room to navigate and perform gestures like pinching to zoom and swiping three fingers away to show all of the open windows. Two buttons below the touchpad are used to click (you can’t do so on the touchpad itself).
Display: The 12-inch 1080p screen on the E7270 is sharp and bright enough for spreadsheets and word processing, but it’s also great for enjoying videos. When played the trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 on YouTube, the colors were accurate, the details were clear and the viewing angles were great. The display on the Dell has a brightness of 317.4 nits, which is higher than the category average of 309. While I found it perfectly usable, some competing machines are even brighter, like the ThinkPad Yoga (328 nits) and the ThinkPad X250’s astounding 387 nits. The HP EliteBook Folio fared worse, though, notching just 264 nits. The Latitude produces a respectable 74.7 percent of the sRGB color gamut, which is higher than both the ThinkPad X250 (64.3) and the ThinkPad Yoga 260 (68.5) but lower than the HP’s 105 percent.
Audio: The speakers on the Latitude E7270 will be fine for rocking out in your cubicle, but you won’t be using it to DJ the office Christmas party. The Dell Audio app features some presets and adjusters for bass and treble, but after having played with it, I recommend leaving everything where it is.
Performance: With a 6th-generation Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM and a speedy 256GB M.2 PCIe SSD, the Latitude E7270 is a quick, powerful workhorse. I had 14 Chrome tabs open, 1080p video streaming from YouTube and was writing in Microsoft Word, and I saw no noticeable lag in my laptop. The working memory can be expanded up to 32 GB of DDR4 memory since the Latitude harbors two memory banks. The review sample is furnished with a single 8 GB module. Like the EliteBook 820 G3, it has an edge over the ThinkPad X260 as it only has one memory bank that is limited to 16 GB.
Processor of Dell latitude e7270: The Core i5-6300U is the third-fastest CPU in Intel’s 15-watt U CPU lineup, behind the Core i7-6500U and Core i7-6600U. Like all Skylake laptop CPUs, it is soldered making it necessary to replace the entire motherboard when it is to be exchanged. The CPU is a dual-core model with Hyperthreading. Since the i5-6300U features vPro, the CPU is designed for the business sector and it is ideal for energy-saving business laptops.

Graphics Card Dell Latitude e7270: The installed Intel HD Graphics 520 is the standard graphics solution in most business and office devices on the market. The GPU is a GT2-level core, i.e. it offers 24 execution units. They clock at a maximum of 1050 MHz using Boost. As a GT2 iGPU, the HD 520 does not have dedicated memory; it shares the main memory with the CPU.
